I'm delighted to announce that I've joined the team at GoFIGR as interim Head of Sales and Marketing!
Many of you might know that I previously co-founded an HR tech company, Checkster, which we grew and then successfully sold to Harver. So, when I had to decide on my next career step, the bar was high!
When considering what I wanted from my next move, here's what was important to me:
- Is there a real need in the market?
- Does it contribute to the greater good of the world?
- Is there innovation or disruption?
- Is there a competent team?
Is there a real need in the market? ✅
Everyone speaks about Talent Intelligence or needs to know what skills are available in their company and what skills are lacking to be ready for the future. Generative AI has accelerated this. There is a responsibility towards shareholders to be competitive and to have an advanced, granular understanding of your talent. For me, GoFIGR offers the best way to achieve this. At the same time, it becomes a Corporate Social Responsibility to keep employees competitive while they are working at the company.
Does it contribute to the greater good of the world? ✅
GoFIGR’s platform allows for employees to take their career development in hand from the comfort of their own company. It allows them to explore skills they should pick up to become more competitive, especially knowing that AI is impacting all jobs, to find mentors, and to explore their possibilities. Half of our day is spent at work, let’s make it meaningful!
Is there innovation or disruption? ✅
HR departments haven’t historically been the early innovators but right now we're seeing firsthand how AI is disrupting the talent market. Many jobs will be taken over by machines. GoFIGR’s platform gives companies tools to act quickly even when falling behind on understanding what the team can do. Talent Intelligence is the buzz initiative for CHRO’s for 2024 for a reason. In today’s world, one must know which skills are in the company, what is missing, how can we bridge gaps, and where we need to focus on upskilling. The future of the company as well as people's jobs depend on it.
Is there a competent team? ✅
I met the founders Nicolai Lindholm and Helena Turpin back in 2015. Checkster, where I was COO and co-founder, had just secured a partnership with Randstad, one of the largest staffing agencies in the world. Helena and Nic were in charge of integrating the systems for APAC. From the minute we started working together, our CTO and I wanted to hire them. They are competent, driven, flexible, fun, and forward thinking. They managed to put a team around them that is so client-focused, that it’s an honor to join them.
I'm really excited about what we'll do together. Our mission to transform the way companies find, inspire, grow, and retain internal talent isn't just a business goal; it's a commitment to helping both companies AND their employees succeed.
